Notes on the submission of presentations

Presentation submission - technical information

Please submit your presentation in 16:9 format to the presentation desk. 

The preferred file format is .pptx, alternatively pdf files are also permitted. The use of other formats may lead to deviations due to conversion problems or may not be played. 

A notebook with PDF reader and Microsoft PowerPoint 2021 will be provided for your presentation. To ensure a smooth and orderly process, we would like to ask you to refrain from using your own notebook. 
 
We will start your presentation in full screen and place a speaking time display (bottom right) over your presentation. The speaking time display will automatically appear at the beginning and end of your speaking time and will be seen by the chairperson and auditorium. 

Presentations with embedded videos: 

When using video sequences, please note, 

  • ...that the CODEC required for playback is supplied and that PowerPoint supports playback: Instructions 
  • ...that your video(s) is (are) embedded: Instructions 

Please prepare your contribution in such a way that the allotted times (speaking time and discussion) are adhered to. Please refer to the programme planner. The chairpersons are requested to avoid overruns. 

Acceptance of presentations

Please hand in your presentation in good time the day before, but no later than 2 hours before your presentation time at the presentation acceptance desk. Please use storage media with a USB port to hand in your presentation. If you use a USB stick as a storage medium, please do not protect it with software. It is possible to test the presentation and edit it if necessary.

You will find the lecture acceptance desk on the 1st floor. 

Disclosure of conflicts of interest

In accordance with international standards on the necessary transparency of potential conflicts of interest (COI), we ask you to disclose your business, personal and/or material relationships with industrial companies, consulting companies or funding organisations or sponsors of medical institutions as part of your engagement.  

For a presentation, please include the relevant declaration on a separate slide before your presentation!
